WTTW/PBS Chicago: Detainees Work Through Trauma in Jail, Aim for ‘Something Different’

This two-part series for Chicago Public Television’s “Chicago Tonight” nightly news hour examines Cook County Jail’s SAVE program, launched amidst Chicago’s epidemic of gun violence.

Men 18 to 24 years old from the city’s most violent neighborhoods receive five hours of therapy per day to help them make better choices that don’t involve violence. The most requested sessions–Parenting.
